What Does a Home Reserve Sectional Feel Like 4 Years Later?
We all know most thing looks great right out of the box, but what about a few months or years down the road? Our Home Reserve sectional sofa is now 4 years old and ‘yes’ it looked great right out of the box!
But, what does it look like after years of use? Which includes almost a dozen greyhounds who have jumped on it, scratched at it, and made it their own personal doggie bed.
If you’re considering a Home Reserve sofa this blog post is for you!
As content creators at Mother Daughter Projects DIY, before we discovered Home Reserve, we actually considered making a sofa from scratch. But when Steph happened upon the Home Reserve website, that consideration went out the window.
We were sold on the fact that Home Reserve furniture is customizable and we could design a sectional to fit our space and needs. It comes in flat packs so we could assemble it ourselves and know how it goes together. Lastly, Home Reserve offers a 10-year warranty, and since we assembled it ourselves, we will be able to replace any parts during those 10 years.

Four years later, the sectional looks and feels almost like it did on day one. It still looks tailored, there’s no cushion sagging, no pilling, and almost no fading of the fabric.
The bottom cushions have gotten a little softer over the years, but this is something Home Reserve says will happen with use and is actually not a issue, in fact, it can lead to a more comfy feel.
As the fabric is washable, Steph has washed the entire sofa a few times, and the ottoman cushion covers a bit more. The fabric comes out clean and wrinkle free with a refreshed look.

Steph now has one greyhound herself, but over the years she has had 10 different dogs at her house either dog sitting for her friends or a few fosters she has taken in. The dogs have all taken well to the sofa and made it their own. The dogs have weighed between 60 to 80 pounds and have long, thick nails, but the sofa has held up perfectly with all of them. There are no puncture marks or pulls.
So if you were to ask the question: “Would you buy it again?” We would not hesitate to answer with a resounding YES!
