Home Reserve vs. 7th Avenue: Price, Warranty, Returns and Where They're Made
Prices checked October 28, 2026. We make one of the two products compared here, so we've linked a source for every 7th Avenue fact.
Home Reserve and 7th Avenue both make modular sectionals with removable, machine-washable covers that you can add to and rearrange. Home Reserve costs less (a five-seat Deep Seat L-shaped sectional starts at about $2,400), includes storage under every seat, ships in about a week and is made in Indiana. You can start with one armless seat on a 60-day No-Risk Trial and return it with free pickup for a full refund. 7th Avenue costs more (its 5-Seat Modular Corner Sectional starts at about $5,000), offers storage as an option, and has showrooms in about two dozen US cities. Its seats use a memory-foam blend. Both back their frames with a warranty; see the details below.

Price: what a full sectional costs
Both brands sell by the piece, so the fairest comparison is a complete setup. A five-seat Home Reserve Deep Seat L-shaped sectional starts at $2,394 with storage in every seat, and a single armless seat starts at $399. 7th Avenue's 5-Seat Modular Corner Sectional is $5,500 in its least expensive fabrics, $5,700 in chenille and $6,250 in most velvets, at the classic seat depth. Extra-Deep versions run up to $7,825, and a narrower Slim version costs a little less. A single 7th Avenue armless seat is $975.
Washable covers and fabrics
Both brands use removable covers. Home Reserve's Essentials and Performance+ fabrics are machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle; its Exclusive designer fabrics are not. Among its line-up, Home Reserve does offer OEKO-TEX certified fabric options and all Home Reserve fabrics are PFAS-free. 7th Avenue's covers can be machine washed cold on a delicate cycle and air dried or tumbled on no heat, and its fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified and also PFAS-free.
Home Reserve offers 50+ fabrics, with $1 swatches or up to 5 free when you sign up for email and text messages. 7th Avenue offers three fabric types (performance weave, chenille and velvet) in 25 colors on its corner sectional, and free swatches.
Storage
Every Home Reserve seat and ottoman has a storage compartment under the cushion at no extra cost. Storage liners are available as an add-on accessory starting at $55. 7th Avenue offers optional hidden storage for its seats and ottomans, with zippered access and soft-close hinges.
Comfort
7th Avenue's seats use a memory-foam blend over high-resiliency foam, with down-alternative back cushions you can adjust with extra fill. Home Reserve uses CertiPUR-US certified foam seats on a springless foam-and-webbing deck, with back pillows filled with fluffed fiber made from recycled BPA-free plastic bottles. Home Reserve offers two seat depths (Standard Seat and Deep Seat) and two seat widths (Deep Seat and Wide Deep Seat, Standard Seat and Wide Standard Seat). 7th Avenue offers Classic and Extra-Deep. The best way to judge comfort is to sit on one: visit a 7th Avenue showroom, or try a Home Reserve seat at home with the 60-day No-Risk Trial.
Warranty
7th Avenue offers a limited lifetime warranty on construction (legs, frame, wood and springs). It doesn't cover cushions or covers. Home Reserve covers frames and hardware for 10 years against defects, and replacement parts ship free, usually within a week. Home Reserve doesn't warranty cushions or covers either, but every cover, cushion and frame part is sold individually, with full unit covers from $83.
Trial and returns
7th Avenue accepts returns within 10 days of delivery for a refund or store credit. Return shipping charges apply, and you'll need the original packaging. It also allows one free fabric or color exchange within 30 days. Home Reserve's No-Risk Trial lets you buy one armless seat and return it within 60 days with free pickup and a full refund, so you can test comfort and fabric before buying a full sectional (one per household). Other Home Reserve orders can be returned within 30 days of delivery in the original packaging, with a 15% restocking fee and return shipping paid by the customer. Some orders can't be returned, including orders over $4,000 and fabric-cover-only orders; see our return policy for details.
Where they're made
Home Reserve makes its sectionals in Indiana. 7th Avenue is based in Los Angeles and ships from a Los Angeles warehouse; its site doesn't say where its sofas are manufactured.
Delivery and assembly
Home Reserve ships free in about one week, with Priority Fulfillment available for faster delivery. Each seat arrives in its own box (or two, for larger units) sized for tight doorways and stairs, and assembles with a screwdriver or drill in about 40 minutes per unit. 7th Avenue lists a ship time of 4 to 6 weeks, charges a flat shipping rate based on distance from Los Angeles, and ships one module per box by FedEx. It says assembly takes 15 to 30 minutes per seat, and it offers free local delivery and assembly within 60 miles of Los Angeles.
Which one is right for you?
Choose Home Reserve if you want a modular sectional for less than half the price, storage included in every seat, furniture made in the USA, shipping in about a week, and the option to replace any single cover, cushion or frame part.
Choose 7th Avenue if you'd like to sit on it in a showroom first, want an extra-deep seat, or value a lifetime frame warranty, and the higher price fits your budget.
Not sure yet? Order $1 swatches, or start with one armless seat on the 60-day No-Risk Trial and build from there.
