The Malbec Incident
What happened when one glass of red met one very brave ottoman.
With a dog and a toddler, we figured the toddler would be the hardest on our new sectional (and to be fair, we have successfully cleaned milk, vomit, Crayola markers, and countless crumbs off of it already) but it was me - the sober, mature adult! - who committed the biggest crime against the sofa. Well, the true victim was the ottoman.
I spilled an entire glass of red wine on the ottoman. Malbec, to be specific. Possibly the worst wine for staining I can think of, and the ottoman was covered - splashed across the top and soaked along an entire side. Even as we carefully blotted and poured water on it and blotted some more, we prepared emotionally to replace the cover completely.
Imagine our shock when the stain came up completely with no stain removers, no soaps, nothing but water and some clean rags. We didn't even have to put the cover through the washing machine!!
To look at it now, you would never know that it once wore a glass of Malbec. Pic here, see for yourself!!
Fantastic sofa, we can't get over how great it is. Thanks for such a great sofa!
Three Dogs. Zero Damage.
A year in, Jessica’s sectional is still going strong.
We've had our couches for a year. We have 3 dogs that jump on & off them constantly and (knock on wood) we haven't had a single scratch, tear, or stain in the fabric. They lay on the top of the back cushions and even those have held their shape surprisingly well. We've been very happy with these couches!
The Couch Arrived—and So Did the Baby Vomit
Helping a new mom breathe a sigh of relief!
We had just gotten our couch because our very young baby had bad reflux and threw up so much. The week we got it and put it together he threw up all over one of the seats. It just wiped right off and we breathed a sigh of relief! They live up to their promises!!
We Host the Holidays Now
Small home, big family—and a modular sectional that makes it all possible.
We live in a small Cape Cod home that is the central to our entire family. With my wife being the youngest of her siblings, we never imagined we'd be hosting holidays at our home, but here we are. Over the past few years that we have had our home reserve sectional and ottoman we have hosted Easters, Christmases, Thanksgivings and many other family celebrations…and our dining room is smaller than our living room.
Thankfully with Home Reserve, we've been able to switch our dining room and living room with ease each time we host, creating a larger space for meals. The fact that each part of the sectional can disconnect and fit through doorways so easily is key! It has now become routine, and a great opportunity to clean those dust bunnies beneath the couch. Thank you, Home Reserve…we're customers for life!
Five Years, One Move, and a Loveseat That Still Looks New
How a couch survived a cross-country trip—and came back even better.
I love my Laney couch and loveseat that we've had for 5 years and how it survived a long distance move.
We went cross country and were able to take arms off to make more efficient space use in our packing cube. However, the arms of the loveseat jostled so much that it wore a small hole on side of each and I was able to take covers off those two pieces and order replacements from Home Reserve. Loveseat looks good as new!
The help I received on the phone was great and replacements came quickly. I really appreciate how my request was handled so efficiently. Thanks, Home Reserve and staff!
11 Pieces, 7 Boxes, and One Small Home
How a military family made our modular furniture work across the world.
We're a military family and chose to purchase a Home Reserve sectional because of our ever-changing living space. We needed a couch that could be modified to fit a number of tiny formats while still providing comfort (and storage!) for our large family of nine.
Home Reserve is AWESOME in our tiny Korean home - it fits the tight space without feeling cramped. And the additional storage space has increased its value to our family.
The movers who packed us out couldn't believe that we fit an 11-piece sectional into 7 flat boxes (cushions were extra). They were pleased that we disassembled everything into an orderly fashion - all they had to do was tape up the boxes and load them onto the truck.
