  • Thanks to your support, we were able to hire 10 new skilled sewers, change to a 10 hour day schedule - with overtime pay, and add an entire second shift.
  • If you ordered between March 6 & March 12, your order is on it’s way home!

Update on Shipping Delays.

The Governor has changed his stay-at-home orders and is now allowing manufacturing companies to reopen effective May 4th! Things are still far from normal, of course, but we’ll be able to start catching up with our shipping times!

Here’s our plan:

  • We’re hoping to ship our entire backlog (every order we have), within 8 weeks.
  • We’ll be making furniture according to the order dates – the oldest first.
  • This week we’ll be working on orders placed from March 6 - March 17.
  • Once your items ship, you’ll receive an email with UPS tracking information.

Monday, April 27 Covid-19 Update

ORDERING IS OPEN. There is a delay in shipping time.

Shipping Delay Update: The current stay-at-home order from our Governor runs through May 1st. Unless the order is extended, that’s this Friday! On our return to production we plan to ship our entire backlog within 7 weeks, starting with the oldest orders first– those people who have been waiting the longest!

We continue to immediately process every order received – getting fabrics, checking inventory – and communicating via zoom with our entire team.

We remain deeply appreciative of your patience, continued trust, and record sales levels during these days of the pandemic. We are anxious to get back to work, get your furniture delivered, and prove that your confidence in us was well placed.

All our staff is on full pay and even more tightly knit together after our recent community service. (You can read about that – our medical mask sewing – below in a previous post.) We have new procedures in place to protect our people, including temperature checks, spacing and surface decontamination.

Tuesday, April 7 Covid-19 Update

ORDERING IS OPEN. This message is only a notice of extended shipping times. Home Reserve is currently under a stay-at-home order. This directive from our Indiana Governor is in effect until April 20th. (Extended from the original date of April 7th)

We are not able to meet our standard shipping time of 15 business days. We expect it will take an additional six weeks for your furniture to be delivered.

Our customer service team is working from home and is available to provide more information and answer questions. They continue to process every order, check inventory levels, and plan production.

If you have an order placed with us and waiting longer doesn’t work for you, we’ll do whatever you direct. As always, you never need to explain.

Mask & Gown Update:
Recently on our Facebook page, we posted some photos of our sewers making masks. That little local volunteer effort turned into much more than we expected! The whole HR team has been reclassified as an essential business and called into service to sew surgical grade personal protection equipment to help with the nationwide shortage. It is an honor to assist but, of course, also raises our level of concern for everyone’s safety.

So even during this shutdown of our furniture production, the factory is bustling! You can see videos and photos on our Facebook page.

Tuesday, March 24 Covid-19 Update

ORDERING IS OPEN. This is only a notice of extended shipping times. Home Reserve is following the preventive measures of our Indiana state health officials for the safety of our communities. We are observing the stay-at-home procedures in effect until April 7th.

We’re not able to meet our standard shipping time of 15 business days. We expect it will take an additional three weeks for your furniture to be delivered.

During this time, we continue to pay full wages to our people, cover the expense of grocery delivery service, and conduct online training sessions. Keeping everyone safe and sound at home is key to restoring our regular delivery schedule.

Our customer service team is working from home and is available to provide more information. You can contact us with any questions or concerns.

We are OPEN for ordering. Just be aware of the extended lead times. Work on your order will begin immediately – checking information, inventory levels, planning production – and will be made in the order received when our team gets back together.

If you are already a current customer, you will have received an email from us explaining the shipping times. If waiting longer doesn’t work for you, we’ll do whatever you direct. As always, you never need to explain.
