We recently purchased a sectional & ottoman from Home Reserve. We started, though, with their no-risk trial, getting a Laney armless unit to be sure assembly was as easy as they say it is; it was! As I was scheduled for surgery that would have delayed my ability to assemble the furniture for about 4-6 weeks we called the support people at Home Reserve to explain & asked if they could do anything to get the rest of the pieces to us fast enough so it could be assembled before my surgery. Well, these people are amazing? They put a rush on the order and we had it in just under a week. I was able to completely assemble the sectional before my surgery. But the story doesn't end there. After I was just about completely healed we decided that the sectional didn't work for us, that 2 love seats would be a better fit. One of the best features of buying furniture from Home Reserve is how flexible it is. Changing from a sectional required removing the corner unit, adding 2 additional arms and changing 2 of the back cushions. Since we were still in (or very close to) the 30 days since delivery they said they would take back the corner unit and refund the price we paid for that piece. At the same time we bought the new components (arms & cushions). Everything went very smoothly. We took the corner off, dis-assembled and boxed it back up (we had kept the original boxes). Home Reserve arranged for UPS pickup. We now have 2 love seats and they are terrific! The only problem I have with Home Reserve is that they don’t sell enough things because their quality and customer service is second to none! They could teach a certain world wide online retailer how to treat their customers!
I wanted to love this sectional. I researched the sectionals and company and was excited to order the armless piece for the 30-day trial. I sent it back today and here's why:
1) It is the most uncomfortable chair I ever sat on. It feels like sitting on a rock.
2) The smell of the wood gave me a headache.
3) Putting it together there were wood splinters everywhere. I feel that the wood pieces were unfinished due to how raw the edges are and the sawdust everywhere.
4) I couldn't lift the box. I am a very fit and healthy person. I watched all the videos and find it hard to believe the woman just effortlessly carried the box up the stairs. I could barely lift it and had to find someone to help.
5) There's no way I could have put it together with just a regular screwdriver. I had to use a cordless screw gun.
I did love the fabric and love that it's made in the USA! Customer service is also excellent and very responsive.
I recommend that you get the 30-day trial piece before you splurge on many pieces at the same time.
Do the individual pieces connect, or lock, together in some way?
Hello- this is a question. Are the back cushion covers removable so they can be machine washed? And the seat cushion covers too?
Thanks!
We received our couch, put it all together although not as easy as we thought! My husband & I read numerous reviews & were so excited to get the couch.
As I sit on my new couch I’m not as comfortable as I hoped! I’m 5 ft tall, my husband 5’ 7”. We looked at several couches and many were so long in the seat depth. Thinking Home Reserve would be the answer to the seat depth. After seating on it for an evening my limbs go numb. My husband wanted firm & wow is this couch is firm!
I would to hear others feed back on other Home Reserve couch owners.
I had been shopping for a new sectional for about 18 months. Home Reserve kept coming up in searches. I hadn't heard of them but liked what I saw on the website. I finally made my decision and ordered from Home Reserve. Their sectional was perfect for my needs and I even found an ideal layout already designed. I had done alir of research before buying and was confident I would love the product so I was going to skip the free trial offer. After placing my order, I received an email from customer service reminding me about the free trial. What sold me was that my order wouldn't be delayed by taking advantage of the trial. The trial piece arrived really quickly. Once I finished assembling the chair, I sat. Wow! Truly comfortable. Within 10 minutes, I emailed them to proceed with the rest of the order. After all,, it was Eddie approved (that's Eddie in the photo). I received my sectional this week and promptly assembled. It took a few hours to get all the pieces done but will worth it. This furniture is so comfortable. I just want to stay home & lounge!! I'm so happy that Home Reserve popped up in my searches and I decided to check them out. Looking forward to many happy years of relaxing on my lovely sectional.
I bought a 5 piece Jovie sectional in grey , the spring of 2015. Loved it from the minute it arrived. The corner cover had some loose stitching, I contacted customer service to just ask a question because I was fine w fixing it myself since I sew. Next thing I know, a replacement came in the mail! Impressive. I have since ordered the ottoman in 2020. Every time I've reached out to customer service, they respond quickly, professionally and with care. They have gone beyond what I've usually received for customer service from other businesses. They replaced a broken seat with no hassle. So now I've received my new covers. Went from grey to red. Absolutely love it. It was so much easier than I imagined. Thank you! Thank you! Home Reserve is the best!!! I'm always promoting you guys.
We needed a large sofa for our beach condo. After researching many products we decided on Home Reserve. We were going to be at the beach the week after Christmas and needed it delivered during a specific time frame. I called to discuss this with Customer Service and she told me the exact date to place the order. The boxes were here just like she said they would be. During the process of assembling the 5 sections, we found 3 broken pieces. Called C.S at 1 PM and the replacement parts arrived the next day. The sofa looks great and we are very happy we ordered it.
This is a question:
Can you describe the fabric textures in the low & midrange section? I am ordering several swatches, but its impossible to tell from computer, what the textures are like. I did read another comment stating "retriever fabric" is best for cats; I am specifically interested in very soft fabrics...(microfiber, not shiny velvet,) and also wondering the difference between $ machine washable, & $$ washable. Thank you!
This is a question. Do the backs come off these sofas so the sectionals can be put together to make a bed?
