Casey and Jen were up in the studio yesterday taking some “seasonal” photos.  They were working with a Classic Loveseat in our Holiday Red fabric.  I thought it looked really energetic and elegant. You should see this next week on the front page of the web site.

Ok…It’s finished! You’ve got your brand new Home Reserve sectional…and it looks really great! But what’s the next step for the shipping boxes?

The kids have played with them, the cat and dog have run amok around the boxes and now, other than keeping them as toys, you can choose to recycle the cardboard.

We’ve added a new tool to our site that will make recycling easier to do.  Go to our “Green and Community” link and on that page you’ll find a widget for locating your closest cardboard box recycling center. I like this tool. –Sandy

Casey and I were working in our showroom studio this afternoon and noticed that Sarah’s daughter Aliyah had fallen asleep on one of the loveseats over in the corner. Sarah works in sewing here at Home Reserve and told us it would be alright if we posted this adorable photo.

Our company is built around an internet model where everything is done online. But…if you live anywhere around Fort Wayne, Indiana or the surrounding states, you might want to consider coming to the factory to place your order, watch us make it and then take it home in your car!

It doesn’t take very long. You can go through all the fabric samples in our showroom (exactly the same fabrics as you see online), decide on an item, and then step out into the factory and actually watch us cut and sew your new sofa. The whole process can take under 2 hours. (The frame parts will have been prepackaged). It is especially efficient you have already been to our site and have an idea of what you will be ordering.

Besides…it’s always a delight for us to actually meet some of you face to face. It’s easy to get feedback when you are standing right in front of us. Be warned though, we may drag you into our R&D discussions and get your feedback on new product ideas.

“Is it comfortable?  It’s online so I can’t sit on it and check it out…so tell me, is it comfortable?”

I totally relate to all these questions. No one wants to spend money and then regret it. We know the questions real well, and everything we do, every day is framed around creating a positive emotional event–from the initial visit to the ownership experience.

I hope that throughout this site we are able to answer these questions. Our customer comments page will give you an idea of how our customer think we’ve been doing, and our why buy page will answer your questions about durability and comfort.

You have guided us, encouraged us, pointed out problems and been the heart and soul of Home Reserve. All the comments have been of invaluable service.

Over the weekend I was thinking about all this and wanted to add this note in the blog as a way to reach out in appreciation.
